Kristen Carcone - competitive ballet/lyrical/contemporary
Kristen Carcone is a graduate of New World School of the Arts in Miami Florida. In 2009 she earned her Artistic Associates Degree from Miami Dade College and in 2011 earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Highest Honors from the University of Florida.
In her 19 years of dance experience Kristen has trained at numerous dance institutions across North America including New World School of the Arts (Miami, Florida), Cawthra Park Secondary School (Mississauga, Ontario), Premiere Dance Inc (Burlington, Ontario), Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp (Denver, Colorado), Joffery Ballet School (New York, New York) and Emerging Dance Artists Project (Toronto, Ontario).
She has performed across the country in a variety of shows and festivals including “Moonblind and Unravelled” (Toronto, Ontario), “Its Happening” (Miami, Florida), “Rising Stars” (Miami, Florida), and “The New Prague Dance Festival” (Prague, Czech Republic).
Kristen Carcone has had the privilege of working with world-renowned choreographers such as Robert Battle, Darshaun Singh Bhuller, and Michael Trent. She has received numerous awards including the “Florida-Canada Linkage Scholarship”, “Excellence in Dance Repertoire”, “Outstanding Dance Graduate” and the “Frank Augustyn Scholarship”.
Kristen Carcone is the Artistic Director of Dancemakers’ Youth Dance Artist Project and has also taught and choreographed for numerous programs across Canada, including FRESH Dance Intensive, Cawthra Park Secondary School, Premiere Dance Inc. and Leeming Danceworks.
