Katie Favot- Competitive Jazz/Hip Hop/Musical Theatre/Lyrical & Recreational Jazz/Acro/Hip Hop Teacher
Katie Favot began her dance training in tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop and lyrical at the age of three at Danceology. She began teaching at the age at 14, prior to which she assisted for many years.
Katie has competed for >20 years, winning both solo and group awards of high excellence. Since the age of 12, Katie has performed in The Nutcracker with the Xing Ballet Company and with Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts taking on numerous roles. She graduated from Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts in 2012 as a dance major, where she won numerous awards in both ballet and modern dance. She graduated from University of Toronto with high distinction in 2016, majoring in physiology and psychology, and is currently studying at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. During her time in university, Katie was a part of the executive team for Silhouettes Dance Company, where she both danced and choreographed. She continues her love for dance during the summer as she is employed as a dance camp counsellor through the City of Toronto Parks and Recreation program.
Katie feels honoured to have the privilege to pass on her knowledge and love of dance to current and future Danceologers!
